Privacy Policy
Your personal information:
ExpatSavvy.com collects only the information necessary to (hopefully) provide an enjoyable web experience for visitors. For instance, in order to register on the site you are asked to provide a name and a valid email address. ExpatSavvy will never provide this information to a third party. However, we might send you an occasional email such as a “welcome” email or if you have password problems an email containing a link to allow you to log in and reset your password. I may even send an occasional email to announce a new feature. If I do that, I will certainly make it possible to opt out if you don't want to receive anything from ExpatSavvy.
Web logs:
Like most standard Web site servers, ExpatSavvy.com uses log files. This includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, referring/exit pages, platform type, etc. I use this info to analyze trends such as how many visitors are accessing which features. This data should help me figure out in general, what features visitors like and what things you don’t really care about. With this, I hope to be able to make intelligent decisions about what content to spend my time on and what stuff to ditch or make less prominent. Besides, it’s reassuring to see that there really are people spending time here. The information such as IP addresses, etc. are not linked to personally identifiable information.
Links to sites outside of ExpatSavvy:
I have gone to every site you find a link for within ExpatSavvy at least once and usually multiple times. That being said, I have no control over what things go on at other sites or what information they may collect or how they use it. Basically, I’m saying that you're safe here but once you leave ExpatSavvy.com, you’re on your own. This applies also to advertiser links. Just be careful and use common sense. Don’t give out any personal information that would be a serious bummer to have known publicly unless you trust the site.
